Administrator
The Administration of each online media library is Razzbonicʻs client. A person, who directs, controls and is responsible for providing the content within Razzbonic media libraries. The Administrator is the only person who may provide other users with the Invitation Code.
Advanced Search
To activate the advanced search options, hover over or click the magnifying glass icon in the search field.
In larger libraries, finding records with a single search criterion may not be efficient. To avoid sifting through thousands of media files, you may need to use more than one search criterion. Razzbonic lets you do this in three different ways.

You can decide to do a global search (the default search) or search exclusively within the currently posted results.

You can do a Boolean-style search for files. The robust combined terms search tool has capacities to look for more dedicated, refined selections:
3: Only within fields
A dialogue box will appear giving you the options when you want a specific search within certain fields. You may narrow your searches even further by checking the appropriate boxes or multiple boxes.
Asset
A general term describing any type of digital media (including graphic, page layout, presentation, sound, and video files) used for a project that has value to its owner. Being able to easily find and re-purpose your media adds a significant value to your business.
Asset Information
The information about an asset which is stored in the record associated with it. (see Metadata for additional information)
Brand Asset Management
Brand Asset Management (BAM) concerns the development, implementation and control of all logos, icons, banners, packaging, representations and collateral connected with your company’s communication to the marketplace, distributors, and business partners.
Online Media Library
A special file that Razzbonic creates to manage a group of records. There is no limit to the number of different media file formats that can be represented in one Online Media Library.
Category
Categories serve as the organizational backbone of a Razzbonic media library.
Category Tree
Like folders in a filing cabinet, a Category Tree serve to organize media assets. Main categories and sub-categories allow you to visually make your selection. Once you click on a category or sub-category the pertaining media assets are displayed.
Digital Asset
A digital asset is any digital media file that has a value to your company. Digital assets can include many different types of digital media (ie. jpg, tiff, eps, cmyk and more) such as photographs, graphics, vector-based logo files, video and sound bites, PDF documents, Adobe InDesign, Quark and Illustrator files to name just a few.
Digital Asset Management
Digital Asset Management (DAM) is the process of managing digital assets throughout their lifecycle, powering dynamic and progressive workflows. Users use DAM systems to manage, locate and retrieve specific digital content objects for use and reuse throughout diverse media.
Digital Media
Any electronic media (including graphic, page layout, presentation, sound and video files) used for a project.
Download
Files can be downloaded by clicking on the download icon in the thumbnail. To download multiple files, select the files you wish to download by clicking the checkmark in their thumbnails. After selecting the files, click the download icon in the upper right corner.
Gigabyte (GB)
A unit of storage capacity on an electronic storage device that equals 1,024 megabytes, or roughly 1.07 billion bytes.
Icon
An icon is a small graphical representation of an action that the program can do. Icons help users quickly identify the type of file action represented by the icon.
Invitation code
The Administrator (Razzbonicʻs client) of each online media library may share The Invitation code that is required for any authorized user to Register. The User will then have the rights to access, search for and download files. Please contact your media library administrator directly for this information. If you are unable to reach them, please contact Razzbonic stating your name, company, phone number and the online media library that you wish to obtain permission to enter.
JPEG (.jpg)
A JPEG is a commonly used standard method of compressing photographic images. The file format, which employs this compression, is commonly also called JPEG; platforms with short file extensions may use .JPG or .JPE to identify this format. The name stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group.
Keywords
Keywords allow a file to be searchable. These keywords can be associated to any file by the administrator online. A keyword uniquely identifies files with specific features. Authorized users may modify this information online.
Kilobyte (KB)
A unit of storage capacity on an electronic storage device that is equivalent to 1,024 bytes.
List View
The List view will display a record name, file format, file size, modification date and other metadata all in a single line. This would be ideal for printing out a long list of files.
Media file
Any electronic or digital media file (including graphic, page layout, presentation, sound and video files). See also Asset.
Megabyte (MB)
A unit of storage capacity on an electronic storage device that is equivalent to 1,024 kilobytes, or 1,048,576 bytes.
Metadata
Metadata is the information stored with each asset-such as file name, location, dates and size. Different types of assets have different metadata fields: an image file, for example, would contain information on color and resolution, while an audio file would have a field for the playback duration. Metadata is information about the asset itself, enabling the life and value of the asset to be controlled. Linked to the asset itself, metadata could, for instance, be data about copyright and how it may be used, past usage, location, authorization, version, information about when the asset was loaded, its format and size, etc.

Preview Image
The preview allows you to see the thumbnail in a larger screen display. This is ideal to confirm image content or display to a group. The file description, tags, keywords and comments can also be found here.
Razzbonic
Razzbonic is an indispensable asset management system for organizing and managing digital assets. The founder’s father Ken Noyle had made this word up in 1922 to annoy his parents. When asked what it meant? he replied, “Digital Asset Management.”
Record
The actual metadata entry Razzbonic creates when an asset is added to a media library. Records store valuable information about an asset, such as the file name, file location, file type, resolution, copyright holder and additional file information when available.
Record Information
All of the record information will be displayed: Record Name, File format, Asset Modified, File Data Size. Categories that are associated to this file, Color Mode, color Model or type (RGB, CMYK) and Copyright holder and Photographer.
Sharing media files with a link
To share files with external users without using email, use a Link. You can access the share window by hovering over a file and clicking the Share button:
The link option appears in the share window as the chain-link icon. You’ll be asked to provide an Expiration Date. Additionally, you can enter more details when creating a link. You can enable a required password to open the link or not.
Sharing media files with email
Click the “Share” icon in the asset thumbnail. Click the email icon in the share window. Enter the email address, an expiration date (if desired), and an included message.You can enable a required password to open the link or not. You can also toggle the option for Advanced Download features for the recipient, which allows for them to zoom, crop, and change the size of the image.
Resolution
Resolution is the number of pixels per inch in any graphic file format. Higher-resolution files have a higher number of pixels per inch than lower-resolution files. Working with higher-resolution files usually requires more memory and hard disk space than working with lower-resolution files. Generally press requirements are 300dpi at the full size of the file to be printed. Generally web or desktop images require less than 100dpi.
Saving: My Collections
Collections allow you to create your own personal albums with your favorite files. After selecting a file, click the heart icon in the bottom corner to add it to a My Collections folder. You can create and view your Collections folders through the Library Bar on the left side. To select your Collections folder, to view or edit the assets inside, click on the folder and hit the Submit button.
Simple Search
Simple search is a search query consisting of one search condition.
Thumbnail
Thumbnail is a miniature display of a media asset.
Toolbar
A standard program tool that offers buttons as shortcuts to commonly used commands.
Vector file
Vector graphic files store the lines, shapes and colors that make up an image as mathematical formulae. They are also known as EPS, AI or SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) files. The ideal format for logos on Razzbonic.
